Sports Minister Matytsin on injuries in the Tutberidze group: the result is at the head of everything

The Minister of Sports of Russia Oleg Matytsin spoke about the injuries in the group of the honored coach of Russia in figure skating Eteri Tutberidze. His words are quoted by TASS.
Matytsin said that the loads in figure skating are colossal, so the athletes are injured. “Khrustalny has a huge flow, a tough competition regime and, at the same time, super-motivation. At some point, health ceases to be a priority, when the result is at the head of everything, ”the minister explained.
Three figure skaters of the Tutberidze group – Daria Usacheva, Alexandra Trusova and Alena Kostornaya – were injured this season. Because of this, Usacheva and Kostornaya were unable to take part in the Russian championship and were left without a place in the Russian national team.
At the upcoming European Championship, the Russian team will be represented by Kamila Valieva, Alexandra Trusova and Anna Shcherbakova. Competitions will be held from 10 to 16 January.
