Thailand imposes curfew due to COVID-19 situation

Thai authorities are imposing curfews and new restrictions in dark red COVID zones, including Bangkok and neighboring provinces.

This is reported by ch3plus with reference to the deputy press secretary of the Thai government Center for the Control and Combating the Spread of Coronavirus Infection Abhisamai Sirangsan.

The emergency mode with the corresponding COVID restrictions provides for the closure of shopping centers, the introduction of curfews in a number of regions and the transfer of civil servants and private sector workers to a remote mode of operation, a limitation on the number of people who can gather in one place up to five people, etc.

It is also forbidden to leave the home between 21:00 and 04:00, except in cases of urgent need. The measures come into force on 12 July.

In March, Thailand reduced the quarantine period for foreigners vaccinated against COVID-19 from 14 days to a week.
