South of Jerusalem, a group of three armed men carried out an attack at a checkpoint near the West Bank.

According to the Israeli police, three terrorists opened fire; they were driving a car. All of them were liquidated by Israeli troops.

Police, border guards and IDF troops are currently searching the area. In addition, sappers are also working at the scene. And the road connecting Jerusalem with settlements in the southern West Bank is now closed.

How many victims

According to MADA (Israeli emergency medical service – Channel 24 ), at first it was reported that 5 were injured, but now 4 civilians are known to have been injured and they were taken to the hospital. Among them:

• a man in his 20s is in serious condition;
• 2 people – a young woman aged about 20 years and a man aged 32 – in a moderate condition;
• a young man who was slightly injured.

As the publication notes, people received gunshot wounds. Three people were treated at the scene for symptoms of traumatic stress.

Also, according to the Israeli police, 6 security officers were injured, including 1 in critical condition.
