The Kerr County Sheriff's Office has reported finding bodies of people killed in the disaster, and authorities are also looking for 23 girls from a Christian summer camp who are still missing out of more than 700 children who attended the camp.

According to official data, most of them are now safe, but due to high water, the roads became impassable, which complicated and delayed their evacuation. Now they are trying to save them. Some of them have already met with their parents.

Also note that Kerr County Judge and Chief Elected Official Rob Kelly told reporters during a briefing that the flooding had hit single-family homes, RV parks and campgrounds the hardest.

Dan Patrick says the Guadalupe River rose 26 feet, or about 8 meters, in just 45 minutes during a heavy downpour. There are also reports of 34 feet. Search and rescue teams used 14 helicopters to respond to the flooding.

In addition to the above, about a dozen drones were used to survey the area, and hundreds of rescuers on the ground carried out rescue operations in trees and fast-flowing waters. The aftermath of the natural disaster is still being dealt with.

Additional rainfall is forecast for these areas. Even light rainfall could cause additional flooding. The threat of flash flooding continues from San Antonio to Waco in the next 24 to 48 hours, with risks remaining in West and Central Texas, the Texas lieutenant governor said.

Also, according to American officials, the United States Coast Guard and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were called in to help local authorities deal with the aftermath.

By the way, at the end of June, the southwestern Chinese province of Guizhou was hit by a terrible flood. The water half-flooded the city of Rongjiang, which had already suffered from bad weather. Six people died, more than 40 thousand people were evacuated.
