German tennis player Alexander Zverev responded to the accusations of his ex-girlfriend Olga Sharypova of domestic violence. His words were reported by journalist Ben Rothenberg on his Twitter page.
“I began to realize that there will always be people who will not wish you well. They will try to push you off the top. But I decide whether they succeed or not. I will not allow this, ”said 23-year-old Zverev.
Earlier, Zvereva's ex-girlfriend said that in August last year, during a quarrel, the athlete tried to strangle her with a pillow, hit his head against the wall and twisted his arms. She added that she has no proof of what happened, but she is ready to go through any tests, including a lie detector.
Zverev ranks seventh in the ranking of the Association of Professional Tennis Players (APR). In 2020, he reached the US Open final. In total, the tennis player has 13 titles of the ATP tournaments.
