Moscow. October 7th. INTERFAX.RU – Iran plans to send a man into space by 2025, this will increase the country's prestige, said the head of the Iranian Space Institute Fatholla Omi.
Iran should lead the region in the space sector by 2025. Sending a man into space will demonstrate Iran's national authority and lead to the development of appropriate technologies, Omi said, quoted by Iranian media on Thursday.
The head of the institute recalled that in recent years, Iran has launched five space satellites.
Omi said women with piloting experience are among those who have passed the initial registration for space travel and are currently receiving the necessary training.
