In Uzhgorod, two groups of teenagers from 12 to 15 years old attacked random passers-by, took away money and valuables. The police detained the guys.
Three teenagers attacked a woman on the Pravoslavnaya embankment at about 21.00. They tried to snatch the bag away from the victim, but she was able to keep it. The attackers took the money that fell out of it and fled.
Law enforcers quickly identified the suspects. They turned out to be residents of the city 12, 13 and 14 years old.
The elder was placed in a temporary detention center, investigators and juvenile police officers are now working with the other two and their parents.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 1 of Art. 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – robbery . Minors face up to 4 years' imprisonment .
The second incident occurred the same evening on Korzo Street – four other teenagers attacked a married couple.
The man did not wanted to give the phone away, so the guys beat the victim.
They took the phones from both him and his wife. The attackers smashed his face and knocked out several teeth.
Those involved in this attack were also quickly found. These are two 16-year-old boys, the other two are 14 and 15 years old. The confiscated telephones were confiscated from them, they will be returned to the victims.
All four were placed in a temporary detention center, they were declared suspicious under a more serious article. Currently, the issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is being discussed.
