Great success for Karateka Bettina Plank! She won bronze at the Olympic Games in Tokyo and fought back tears.

“I can't believe it yet. It is sensational that it all worked out,” the woman from Vorarlberg cried with joy.

Plank laid the foundation stone for her medal in the preliminary round: “I really focused on every fight, it was so close in the group.”

“I didn't have to win anything, but I wanted to,” said the 29-year-old happily.

“Everyone here deserves it, I would like to give everyone a medal,” said Plank.
