Personalized access to Internet resources, including “malicious games”, will help prevent tragedies like the shooting in the Kazan gymnasium, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov believes. He stressed that the Internet should remain accessible at the same time. In his opinion, it is also necessary to be attentive to the upbringing of children in school.
In an interview with RTVI, Mr. Minnikhanov said that “children perceive shooters in their own way.” He proposed to “put a filter” on the Internet, and how to do it – special services “must think”. As the President of Tatarstan explained, if “all these different malicious games are in direct accessibility, this is wrong.”
“Why do you think that it should be available if it affects the psyche of children? Affects not only children, but adults also turn into gamers. If there is personalized access, then children will not be able to get into these games and will not be able to participate. But how to do this is the second question, ”Rustam Minnikhanov said.

On May 11, in Kazan, a graduate of gymnasium No. 175, Ilnaz Galyaviev, set fire to it. As a result, nine people died, including seven schoolchildren and two teachers, and another 25 people were injured. The 19-year-old shooter, after being arrested, said that he considers himself God and hates everyone. According to the investigation, the young man was not registered with a psychiatrist, but he was diagnosed with a brain disease. He was charged with mass murder (part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), he was arrested until July 11. After the tragedy, a group of deputies introduced bills to strengthen control over the circulation of weapons, they have already passed the first reading in the State Duma.
