A RIA Novosti source in the military-technical sphere revealed the results of tests of the Turkish anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) S-400 “Triumph” of Russian production in the area of the city of Sinop, located on the Black Sea coast.

“Three missiles fired hit three targets,” the source said. A military-diplomatic source reported similar information to TASS.

The Drive admits that British-made Banshee drones were the targets of the Turkish S-400 Triumphs. The publication recalls that, together with the air defense system, ten such targets were delivered to the test area.

Air defense missile launches took place on October 16. In response to the tests, the head of the press service of the US State Department, Morgan Ortegus, said about “possible serious consequences” for the relations between Ankara and Washington in the field of security.

In July, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that the republic is ready to address US concerns over fears of leaks in the characteristics of the American fifth-generation F-35 Lightning II fighter, which could occur due to the Russian-made S-400 Triumph.

In the same month, the former deputy commander of the air defense forces of the USSR Land Forces, Lieutenant General Alexander Luzan, admitted that the goals of Turkey's trials of the S-400 Triumph were to find weaknesses in this system. At the same time, the specialist assured that it is technically impossible to extract technologies from the S-400 “Triumph”.
