Tatyana Tarasova on the Russian national team at the European Championship: Tuktamysheva was included in the reserve team in the case

Honored Coach of Russia Tatyana Tarasova assessed the composition of the Russian national figure skating team for the European Championship and the Olympic Games. She is quoted by Metaratings.
“The composition was determined based on the results of the competition, the participants were chosen for a reason. Everything is deserved, nobody was taken out of my head, ”Tarasova said. She noted that the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) absolutely correctly formed the team for the European Championship and the Olympics.
The team did not include the most experienced Russian single skater Elizaveta Tuktamysheva. According to Tarasova, the athlete in the case was included in the reserve team. “She should have been in the top three. If she was included in the composition, it would be wrong in relation to other girls, ”the specialist emphasized. At the national championship, Tuktamysheva took seventh place.
On December 26, her mentor, Honored Coach of Russia Alexei Mishin reacted to the absence of Tuktamysheva in the main squad of the national team. He noted that there are athletes who, despite all their talents, fail to reach the top in the medal standings. Mishin added that instead, the sport gave Tuktamysheva great love from the fans.
Earlier, on December 26, the Russian Figure Skating Federation presented the composition of the country's national team for the upcoming European Championship. In women's single skating, the team will be represented by the winner of the Russian Championship Kamila Valieva, as well as the prize-winners of the competition: Alexandra Trusova and Anna Shcherbakova.
