Elon Musk, through his behavior, deliberately and purposefully created an unpleasant, hostile work environment by posting disgusting and degrading sexual photos, memes and comments in the workplace, ex-employees say.
Fired SpaceX employees filed a lawsuit in California against the company's CEO Elon Musk for systematically humiliating women and members of the LGBTQ+ community and creating hostility atmosphere.

“Musk, through his conduct, knowingly and purposefully created an unpleasant, hostile work environment by posting disgusting sexual photos, memes and comments in the workplace that disparaged women and/or the LGBTQ+ community,” eight former employees said.
The plaintiffs claim that some of them later received offensive comments from other colleagues who “imitated Musk’s messages” from X’s social network.
After Musk publicly ridiculed allegations of inappropriate behavior made against him, employees wrote an open letter in 2022 expressing concerns about his behavior and the company's culture, and claiming they were fired in response to complaints.
The former employees said in a statement that they have reason to believe that Musk personally made the decision to fire them in retaliation for making allegations. When an HR employee suggested an investigation be conducted first, Musk responded, “I don’t care—fire them,” the complaint says.
SpaceX previously said that the workers were fired for violating company policy, and that Musk was not involved in their dismissal.
In addition, on June 11, The Wall Street Journal reported that Musk had made sexual advances towards women at SpaceX. The material, in particular, claims that Musk had an intimate relationship with a former intern.
At the same time, Gwen Shotwell, president of SpaceX, accused the publication of presenting “lies, mischaracterizations and revisionist history,” saying that Musk is one of the best people she knows.
Recall that Musk threatens to ban the use of Apple gadgets in his companies.
