Swiss Scientist: Coronavirus Could Appear in China Back in 2013
Swiss inventor Didier Pitte believes that a new coronavirus infection could appear in the world as early as 2013, reports 360.
According to the scientist, the virus, 96% similar to SARS-CoV-2, was detected eight years ago in caves located 1,100 kilometers from Wuhan. Pitte suggested that the people working in the cave could then catch the virus.
Whether this virus got into one of the Wuhan laboratories is still unclear, the specialist added. According to him, theses were prepared by people who studied coronaviruses in these laboratories, but they mysteriously disappeared. In addition, a sample of the virus in question has disappeared somewhere. All of these circumstances are troubling, says Pitte.
This does not mean that the coronavirus was created artificially, but, perhaps, the fact that it was first discovered back in 2013 is being hidden from people. SARS-CoV-2 must have circulated in nature for some time before it increased to the level of a pandemic.
“Perhaps this virus has been with us for much longer than we can imagine,” said the Swiss inventor.
Recall that at the beginning of the year, an international group of experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) visited the city of Wuhan, including the isolated BSL-4 laboratory, with which rumors of a virus leak and its possible artificial origin were associated. According to experts, it is extremely unlikely that the virus will be transmitted to humans due to a laboratory leak.
Earlier today, House Foreign Affairs Committee member Mc McCall presented a report that said Washington has evidence that a new coronavirus infection has leaked from the laboratory of the Institute of Virology in the Chinese city of Wuhan.
