Sorokina, who introduced herself to everyone in New York as Anna Delvi, is likely to be deported to Germany.
“She was everywhere. She had an extraordinary tendency to convince everyone to pay for her luxurious lifestyle, and she herself somehow incredibly managed not to pay the huge hotel bills,” said her friend, DJ El Di.
Sorokina claimed that her inheritance is 60 million euros and is in a trust fund created in Europe in her name. According to the prosecution, she also used fake financial documents to support her story.

In May 2019, a New York court found her guilty on eight counts of fraud in 2016-2017 and sentenced her to 12 years in prison with the possibility of early release four years later.
What Sorokina did

In October last year, the court considered Sorokina's request for clemency.
