A blockade has been declared in the ports of all Russian ships and cargo.
The Swedish Union of Port Workers announced that it plans to block all ships as part of the protest to and from Russia, Hamnarbetaren reports.
“The Swedish dockworkers’ union today informed the employers’ organization Ports of Sweden of an upcoming strike against ships bound for Russia and Russia, as well as Russian cargo in all Swedish ports,” the message reads.
The blockade includes ships carrying Russian goods and ships registered as Russian.
The solidarity action will be held to support dock workers and affected workers in Ukraine during ongoing Russian invasion.
Sweden has reportedly sent over $20 million to Ukraine to support of the Armed Forces.
The funds have already been transferred to the accounts of the NBU.
Sweden sent Ukraine 500 million crowns (more than $20 million) to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmihal announced this on his Twitter.
“The funds have just been transferred to the accounts of the NBU. I am grateful to Magdalena Andersson and the Government of Sweden for the financial contribution. Every step in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine brings the victory of Ukraine closer!” Shmyhal wrote.
