Gabriele Graumann was released because of a complaint. The board of the retiree dwellings is holding a special meeting today.
This Thursday could clarify what is true of the allegations against the suspended managing director of the board of trustees of the Wiener Pensionisten-Wohnhäuser (KWP), Gabriele Graumann.
Around noon, KWP President and City Councilor for Health Peter Hacker (SPÖ) invited the KWP board to the town hall. This emerges from a letter that the KURIER has received.
Health Councilor Peter Hacker (SPÖ).
According to reports, the result of the “comprehensive investigation” that Hacker had announced in the fall of the cause is to be presented.
His office would not confirm this upon request. The appointment takes place. They said they didn't want to say what it was about.
Notification by the city audit office
Graumann was released from duty in September (the KURIER reported).
The reason for this was a statement of facts that the city audit office had submitted to the public prosecutor's office after a conduct audit in January 2020 – against “unknown perpetrators” and on suspicion of infidelity.
At the time, the news magazine Profil reported about the alleged irregularities at the city's senior care provider and the related advertisement from Stadt-RH.
According to the report, in the opinion of the city audit office, for example, the tendering of a “framework agreement” in 2018 may have been punishable, and contracts may have been placed in violation of public procurement law.
Further consequences
Graumann himself rejected all allegations: “I always acted correctly and gave no cause for dismissal.”
The public prosecutor's office said that a “very extensive statement” from the KWP was currently being examined, and only then could a decision be made as to whether an investigation should be initiated.
In any case, Graumann's previous deputy, Simon Bluma, took over her agenda as managing director in the fall.
And Hacker commissioned a detailed investigation of the “allegations raised against employees of the KWP.” Any further legal steps will be decided after these reports and the results of the investigation by the public prosecutor, it said.
