Lukashenko is wiser than Russian politicians

He continued that it was thanks to Lukashenka that the Belarusian army did not enter the war. If there were no Lukashenka, the Belarusian troops would already be on the territory of Ukraine. Of course, he is not doing this for us, he is not our friend, he is nobody to us. He does this for himself and his future.
“We must talk with Lukashenka, so that his army does not attack us,” Sheitelman noted.
We should talk about Belarus with Lukashenka
The political strategist added that Lukashenko should be talking about his own Belarus. Probably, we have an agreement with him, according to which his army does not enter the war, and we do not shoot at the Russians on the territory of Belarus. Therefore, there is no need to compare Putin and Lukashenko. Putin is not capable of negotiating, he is mad, he needs to be destroyed.
However, when the war ends, we do not need to destroy Lukashenka. Belarusians need it, but we don't. So, let it be in principle,” he stressed.

This is a political contract, not a legal one
According to Sheitelman, there is international politics, and there is politics. These are different things. International law is the non-executable Budapest Memorandum of the UN, and so on. And there is an international policy – an agreement not to do one way or another. If one violates the terms of the contract, the other will violate them in the same way.
