The Ecumenical Patriarch was hospitalized for the second time during his visit to the United States, according to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese.

It is noted that 81-year-old Bartholomew was hospitalized in one of the New York clinics – there the patriarch should be held a study of blood vessels, according to its results Bartholomew will probably need surgery to install a stent.

Bartholomew arrived in the United States on October 23rd and was hospitalized the next day due to deterioration of health – then it was explained by fatigue from the flight.
