In summer, the weather in European Russia is expected to be warmer than usual. This forecast was given by Vladimir Semyonov, head of the climatology laboratory of the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences, deputy director of the Obukhov Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
“I recently looked at the seasonal forecasts of the leading European centers, and they say that the summer in the European territory and in the western part of Russia as a whole will be slightly higher than the norm. Not extremely hot, but warm – warmer than usual, “Lenta.ru quotes him as saying.
At the same time, the specialist noted that today it is possible to talk about summer weather only hypothetically, since the justification of seasonal forecasts is always small. So, according to him, it is almost impossible to predict what winter will be like.
The forecaster also said that strong warming and “a sharp transition to May weather” are expected by the end of this week.
Recall that on the eve of the Scientific Director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand said that the “sad” weather in Moscow by the weekend will be replaced by sunny, noting that such weather changes are natural for the spring season, however, it is not long to wait for the onset of real spring.
