The crews of the Nebo-T radar systems took up combat duty. “Specially for checking radars from airfields in the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions, multifunctional supersonic Su-34 fighter-bombers of the new generation were raised into the sky, which imitated a possible enemy. The actions of the military personnel made it possible to quickly recognize targets, measure their coordinates and provide escort. The servicemen successfully coped with the assigned tasks,” the message said.
The press service clarified that Nebo-T is a deep modernization of the Nebo-U complex. The new development allows tracking aerodynamic and ballistic targets within a radius of up to 600 kilometers.
Radar stations “Nebo-T” first entered the troops of the Central Military District in January.
