Sturm-Ultras attack pubs with Eindhoven fans

Before the Europa League hit between Sturm Graz and PSV Eindhoven, there was a fight between the fans of both teams.

On Wednesday evening around 50 hooded Styrian supporters attacked a pub in which around 50 fans of the Dutch first division club were located. Around 9:30 p.m., the storm fans appeared in front of the bar on Färberplatz, where the Dutch had come peacefully, the police said.

As a result, there were turbulent scenes. During the confrontation, glass panes and furnishings in the restaurant were destroyed.

The police summoned had been able to put an end to the brawl quickly. Two Dutchmen were arrested for resisting state power, one from Graz and another Dutchman for administrative offenses. In addition, there were several reports of administrative violations.

The Eindhoven fans were in the run-up to the Europa League hit between Sturm Graz and PSV on Thursday evening (6.45 p.m.) in Graz. The game in the Merkur Arena is sold out.
