Experts have identified what exactly increases the interest of children in learning about the world around them. The experiments involved Russians of completely different ages – scientists observed their emotional reactions. The results of the study were unexpected. Read more about this in our newsletter.

Specialists from the Synergy University arranged meetings between the Robop Dog and adults and children. When they saw a robot, the older generation had the same reaction as when they met a stranger, they did not want to approach the robot. But the children reacted in a completely different way, easily made contact and even stroked an imitation of a dog.

“Children have no negative experience, they are open to new things and explore the world while playing. For a child, a robot is, first of all, a toy. And a kid often trusts a toy more than an adult relative, ”

Active socialization is typical for children aged 6-7 years. Therefore, the robot becomes an additional motivation for learning and learning about the world as a whole. The expert emphasized that it is at this age that children should be introduced to robots.

“Today the Russian market requires tens of thousands of robotics, therefore one of the tasks of the faculty is to popularize the profession among children and adolescents,”

According to experts, the robot dog not only arouses curiosity, but is also actively involved in the educational process. Especially in programming for beginners.

The university noted that they strive to work with schoolchildren, and also organize educational camps with future applicants. This helps keep kids interested in robotics.

Earlier Letidor wrote that the first robot educator appeared in a Russian kindergarten.
