Moscow. October 7th. INTERFAX.RU – An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 was registered in Pakistan in the province of Baluchistan, the Altai-Sayan branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported on Thursday.
According to the data of operational processing of the Altai-Sayan branch of the Geophysical Service, the epicenter of the earthquake recorded at 01:01 Moscow time on Thursday was 83 km north of the city of Sibi.
According to the intensity of shaking at the epicenter, the earthquake is assessed as “destructive”.
The US Geological Survey has estimated the magnitude of the earthquake at 5.7.
