Kyiv needs Washington's permission to use American weapons to destroy military airfields on Russian territory.
During the NATO summit in Washington Ukraine is trying to obtain US permission to use American long-range weapons at military airfields on Russian territory.
This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba on the air of the “United News” telethon.
“We will work on another solution that does not depend directly on NATO, but depends on the United States. And this will be discussed in contacts with American officials and other individual of our closest partners,” the head said MID.
The minister explained that we are talking about permission to use long-range American weapons to strike military airfields on the territory of the aggressor state.
“It is necessary to ruthlessly destroy all military targets that are involved in bombing and rocket attacks on Ukraine in one way or another,” Dmitry Kuleba emphasized.
Recall that the White House announced whether it would lift the restriction for the Ukrainian Armed Forces on strikes on Russia with American weapons. According to National Security Adviser John Kirby, the United States does not plan to change policy after the attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital on July 8.
