Stoltenberg stressed that Alliance members are committed to strengthening political and practical support.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg met with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov in Brussels.

This was reported by the NATO press service.

As it became known, Stoltenberg and Umerov discussed the latest events on the battlefield and the urgent military needs of Ukraine. With winter expected to complicate combat operations, Stoltenberg stressed that Alliance members are committed to strengthening political and practical support for our state.

“The Secretary General confirmed that NATO will provide long-term support to Ukraine to ensure full interoperability of Ukrainian armed forces within NATO and greater rapprochement with the Alliance. Stoltenberg and Umerov also discussed Ukraine's path to NATO membership and Ukraine's reform efforts. Mr. Stoltenberg confirmed that Ukraine will become a member of NATO when all members of the Alliance agree to this and when all conditions are met,” the NATO press service reported.

Let us recall that in the Lugansk region, drones accurately destroyed an ammunition depot and Russian equipment.
