NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced his readiness to meet again with the Russian Federation within the framework of the Russia-NATO Council.

He said this at a briefing in Brussels on Thursday, February 17.

The Secretary General of the Alliance believes that the meeting within the framework of the NATO-Russia Council is the best platform for discussing urgent problems with the Russian Federation.

“I continue to believe that the NATO-Russia Council is the best platform for interaction when NATO and Russia have issues to discuss. We are ready to meet, I invited Russia to a number of meetings to solve problems ,” Stoltenberg said.

Recall that today, February 17, in Brussels, NATO defense ministers will meet with representatives of Ukraine and Georgia. The withdrawal of the Kremlin troops and security in the Black Sea is the main topic of conversation.

Earlier, the Secretary General of the Alliance stated that Moscow had accumulated a record number of troops near Ukraine for the first time since the Cold War, and this threat must be responded to in time.
