Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg argues that the ministers of defense and member countries of the Alliance have confirmed that they do not intend to abandon the policy of “open doors” in NATO.
“Allies confirmed today that NATO's doors remain open. Any decisions about membership in the alliance are made by NATO allies and those countries that want to join, and not by anyone, Stoltenberg said at a press conference on February 17.
He also confirmed that under no agreements can there be decisions about Ukraine without Ukraine or about Georgia without its participation.
Recall, NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg said that the issue of Ukraine's membership in NATO depends on the implementation of the necessary reforms by the country.
