UFC bantamweight champion, American Aljamein Sterling on Twitter addressed Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Pyotr Yan.
The athlete said that he was ready for a duel with an opponent, and called him a dirty rat. He also drew attention to the problems with doping in Russia, accusing the inhabitants of the country of cheating. “These fighters are still like that. This is what you understand, but you still get angry, ”Sterling summed up.
Ian and Sterling were scheduled to have their second bout at UFC 267 on October 30th. However, the American withdrew from the fight, citing health problems. The rival of the Russian was Sterling's compatriot Corey Sandhagen. Ian won by decision to become interim UFC bantamweight champion.
In March, Jan dropped the league title against Sterling. The Russian inflicted an illegal knee blow to the head of a lying opponent and lost by disqualification.
