Steps over an abyss: a German set a world record for slackline
In Nuremberg, Germany, a world record was set for slackline – walking on a sling. At the Max Morlock stadium, at a height of 73 meters, a rope 25 millimeters wide was pulled.
German Jens Deck walked all 230 meters – from one spotlight pole to another, and never fell off. Slackline is a young sport. Line walking is performed without special balancers. The athlete maintains balance only by tilting the body and arms.
