The President Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier said he was ready to personally talk with the head of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. He also promised further assistance to Germany in Ukraine.
This was discussed on May 4 in Bucharest after a meeting with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, according to the German publication Redaktions Netzwerk Deutschland.
“We, the Germans We support Ukraine with all our hearts,” Steinmeier said.
He also noted that he would like to personally express his support and exchange views with Zelensky, “if possible.”
Recall that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz does not want to go to Kyiv until President Frank-Walter Steinmeier visits the Ukrainian capital.
