The head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk called on people's deputies around the world to stop the crimes of Russia.

The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament announced his address at a special meeting of the geopolitical group 12+ within the framework of the 144th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in the Indonesian city of Nusa Dua.

Ruslan Stefanchuk notes: < strong>The fact that the war in Ukraine is now in its fourth week shows that the measures taken have not been enough.

– We call on you to mobilize the potential of your national parliaments to stop Russia, to end with death and destruction, stop the war crimes of the Russian invaders against Ukrainian citizens, women and children,” Ruslan Stefanchuk called.

As an example, the head of the Verkhovna Rada cites Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, which have already called for closing sky over Ukraine.

You can also call on your governments to create a no-fly zone over Ukraine. You must do this for the sake of millions of people in Ukraine, for the sake of European and world security. We expect the Inter-Parliamentary Union to voice its principled position against Russia's flagrant violation of international law,” Ruslan Stefanchuk added.
