The Steam Deck portable console was announced just about two weeks ago. But since then, the device has managed to acquire both details and various speculations.
So, for example, the power of the device initially raised questions. Now it is already known that the developers could not find a single game in the Steam library that would not run on the console.
But new questions began to appear on the net. Including the autonomy of the Deck. But there is nothing to worry about, Engadget writes. According to the publication, Valve may limit the frame rate in order to increase the battery life of the device.
So, for example, Portal 2 at 30 frames per second worked on the Steam Deck for about 6 hours. For comparison, with “free FPS” this value dropped to 4 hours.
Recall that the Steam Deck will fall into the hands of the first buyers in December 2021. Those who pre-order the device now will receive it only in the second quarter of 2022.
