State-owned enterprises will pay UAH 48.5 billion in dividends to the state budget in 2022

According to the law on the state budget for 2022, which the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted on December 2, state-owned enterprises must pay UAH 48.5 billion in dividends, which accounts for 4% of state budget revenues.

Compared to 2021, the state budget for 2022 provides for an increase in planned receipts from dividends of state-owned enterprises by 68%.

At the same time, the reasons for such an increase remain unclear.

According to the report of the State Treasury , income from dividends for the first three quarters of 2021 amounted to UAH 26.8 billion.

For 2021, the amount of dividends paid by state-owned enterprises should amount to UAH 28.8 billion.

Thus, compared from 2021, the state budget for 2022 provides for an increase in the planned income from dividends of state-owned enterprises by 68%. At the same time, the reasons for such an increase remain unclear.

The Cabinet of Ministers calls the 2022 budget balanced and realistic, which should also contribute to the modernization of Ukraine.
