In one of the decisive outcomes of the presidential race in the United States, Georgia will recount the votes. State Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced this live on CBS News.
According to Reuters, a recount is expected due to the small gap between the candidates. Raffensperger stressed that the outcome of the presidential election in Georgia is not yet clear.
On November 6, Democratic candidate Joe Biden beat the incumbent, Republican Donald Trump, to vote in Georgia. Trump's headquarters believes that the recount will reveal violations there, and the Republican will win.
Earlier it was reported that Biden may already announce his victory in the elections on November 6. The US Secret Service has dispatched additional agents to Wilmington, Delaware, due to Biden's alleged speech there. It is known that the candidate's headquarters told about the democrat's readiness to “make an important statement.”
In the United States, the counting of votes for candidates for the post of head of the White House continues. The elections were held on November 3, however, due to the pandemic this year, voters could vote by mail, requesting a ballot in advance. At the moment, Biden has at least 253 electoral votes, Trump has 214. The final results of the vote have not yet been announced, but both candidates have repeatedly expressed confidence in their victory.
