State Duma deputy, pilot-cosmonaut Roman Romanenko took part in the “Drone Race” held on the Day of Russia in the Moscow region of Chertanovo.

According to the rules of the race, the quadcopters had to overcome the route with obstacles, while performing several aviation stunts. Romanenko launched a drone decorated with the Russian flag and the inscription “Russia is the country of the first”.

After the competition in aeromodelling sport, the deputy spoke with the organizers of the event about the modernization of the cordodrome, which they intend to expand. Initially, the project was scheduled for 2022, but Romanenko promised to help speed up the process by contacting the Moscow authorities.

“The Day of Russia is a symbol of the unity of all our people and common responsibility for the present and future. I believe that every citizen is trying to make our state better, to reach new and new heights, ”the pilot said in his address to the competitors.

Panee Romanenko said that the need for a youth employment program has especially shown its relevance during the coronavirus pandemic. As the website kp.ru wrote, on the initiative of the Hero of Russia, specialized departments are now working out a mechanism for issuing a special certificate to graduates of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions in the amount of 100 thousand rubles. Romanenko proposes to provide such certificates to employers to cover the costs of paying insurance premiums for an employed young specialist.
