The US State Department will allocate 150 thousand dollars (more than 11 million rubles) for a program to support transgender people in Pakistan. The Foreign Ministry will announce an open call for applications for grants for aid projects. Writes about this RT with reference to the documents of the State Department.
We are talking about projects to support Pakistani transgender people between the ages of 18 and 40: they will be helped to establish contacts with American specialists who will assist them. In addition, US specialists will help them “acquire the skills and knowledge they need to develop their economic opportunities.” The allocated money will also be used for the assimilation of “best practices” so that the inhabitants of the South Asian country can integrate into society.
“A grant can be obtained by a non-profit and non-governmental organization that has a legal status that meets the technical and legal requirements of the United States and Pakistan,” the State Department concluded.
In April 2020, the US Embassy in Budapest decided to sponsor projects that “will contribute to the truthful recognition of the tragic events of World War II.” The text says that these projects may be linked to stories of acts of “Soviet tyranny” in Hungary.
