The company continues to test its technology.
On Saturday, November 18, SpaceX launched its Starship spacecraft. Thus, the first successful test flight of the rocket system took place.
The video was published on the company's X (Twitter) page.
However, the first stage of the rocket, after separation at an altitude of 75 km, exploded in the air, and contact with the ship was lost after about 10 minutes of flight. Despite this, it is considered successful. The fact is that all flights are test flights – specialists look for weaknesses, correct mistakes and achieve new successes.
Why is it important
According to Channel 24, the successful launch of the Starship rocket marks a major achievement in SpaceX's ambitious plans to create fully reusable spacecraft capable of delivering crew and cargo to low-Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars and beyond.
“The Starship rocket is a key component of SpaceX's vision for interplanetary exploration and human settlement on other planets,” the statement said.
The latest achievement underscores the company's commitment to pushing the boundaries of space technology and expanding humanity's presence in space.
It was previously noted that Elon Musk, due to his ambitions, neglects the safety of workers. In particular, hundreds of work-related injuries were not recorded at SpaceX.
