Spy detective author John le Carré dies at death

British writer, author of spy detectives John le Carré has died at the age of 89, writes The Guardian.

The writer's family reported that he passed away from pneumonia at a hospital in Cornwall on Saturday evening. The author's personal agent, Johnny Getler, called him “the giant of English literature.”

“I've lost a mentor. Someone who inspires, and most importantly, a friend. We will never meet people like him again, ”Getler said.

John le Carré was born on October 19, 1931 in England. For long periods he worked for the foreign policy intelligence service of MI6. Carré has published 22 novels that have been translated into 36 languages. The most famous such books as “Russian House”, “Spy, Get Out!”, And “The Spy Who Came from the Cold.”

Earlier, science fiction writer Sergei Sinyakin died of coronavirus, he was 57 years old. The author is in a hospital in serious condition; doctors have introduced him into an artificial coma. Relatives and friends of the writer also contracted COVID-19.
