The Russian Sputnik V vaccine will begin to be produced in four European countries: in addition to Italy, there are corresponding agreements with Germany, France and Spain. This was stated by the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev, speaking on Russian television, Reuters reports.
Dmitriev did not give details.
According to Reuters, the French Ministry of Economy said earlier on March 9 that at the moment the country has insufficient capacity to produce Sputnik V.
Earlier on March 9, it became known that “Sputnik V” from July 2021 will begin to produce in northern Italy. RDIF said that the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce has already signed a relevant agreement. According to plans, by the end of this year it will be possible to produce up to 10 million finished doses of the drug.
