Tunisia has approved and registered the Russian COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik Light as a universal booster dose. Writes about this TASS.

The decision was taken by the Tunisian Ministry of Health. The results of the analysis of the Russian drug by the Tunisian regulator were reported in the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

Earlier, the representative of the World Health Organization Margaret Harris explained the delay in the recognition of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus “Sputnik V” “by checking technological processes.” She explained that in order to approve a drug, WHO requests data on its safety and efficacy, as well as documentation on production technology.

On December 28, it became known that Russia ranked fifth in the world in the export of vaccines against coronavirus, having shipped 93.4 million doses of drugs to recipients. The first place in the ranking was taken by China, which exported 1487.6 million doses of vaccines. It is followed by the European Union (1366.8 million doses), India (72.8 million doses), the United States (348 million doses).
