Sport Austria President Hans Niessl and the new ÖSV President Karl Schmidhofer want to strengthen the general understanding of sport and the culture of movement and promote the winter sports weeks. The first working meeting of the two presidents took place on Thursday in Vienna and resulted in consensus.
Sport Austria President Hans Niessl took away a lot of positive things: “It was a very interesting, constructive conversation. The Austrian Ski Association is one of our largest professional associations, which represents a popular sport and in this role is of great importance as a movement and tourism factor in our country. That is why I am particularly pleased that we want to continue to work closely together on sport-political issues. Niessl: “It is important and right that the schools begin with their entire offer – including physical education, of course. In general, we have to further increase the vaccination rate through low-threshold offers. “
