On Sunday Max Verstappen's Red Bull flew into Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes. Formula 1 is now showing the wild pictures.
It was one of the most spectacular scenes of this Formula 1 season. World Championship leader Max Verstappen tried to pass Lewis Hamilton on the inside at the Italian Grand Prix. He was levered out of the curbs and thrown over the Mercedes by the British. The race was over for both drivers, and victory surprisingly went to Australian Daniel Ricciardo in a McLaren.
Much luck
Thanks to the Halo cockpit protection, Hamilton was uninjured. How lucky the Briton was can now be seen on a video that Formula 1 published on its social media channels.
The 360-degree image clearly shows how the rear tire of Verstappen's Red Bull flew inches over Hamilton's helmet. You can also clearly hear how the seven-time world champion then tried to get his battered car back on the track with reverse gear.
