Moscow “Spartak” has decided on the candidacy for the post of the new head coach of the team – Italian Paolo Vanoli will become the mentor of the red-and-white team. This was reported on the Twitter account of the Tutti Convocati show.
49-year-old Vanoli should soon sign a contract with the capital club. On Wednesday evening, December 15, TASS reported that the Italian had arrived in Moscow.
Vanoli will replace the Portuguese Ruy Vitoria. The latter helped Spartak to break into the Europa League playoffs. In the Russian Premier League, after 18 matches, the red and whites are in ninth place in the standings. Vitoria left Spartak the day before. The contract with the specialist was terminated by mutual agreement of the parties.
Spartak's interest in Vanoli was announced in early December. The specialist is known for his work at the headquarters of Antonio Conte in the Italian national team, Chelsea and Inter.
