The government denies any wrongdoing on the part of the prime minister's wife.
Head of Government Spain Pedro Sanchez will testify in court as a witness in a criminal case against his wife on suspicion of corrupt business activities.
This is reported by Bloomberg.
Judge Juan Carlos Peinado said Sanchez is scheduled to testify on July 30. To do this, the judge will go to the government house, where he will hear testimony from the Prime Minister.
Sanchez's wife, Begoña Gomez, is under investigation for alleged influence peddling and corruption in the private sector. No charges have been brought so far, but the government denies any wrongdoing on the part of the prime minister's wife.
Begon Gomez was subpoenaed on July 19, but she refused to testify.
We recall that it was previously reported that Stefanchuk discussed with the head of the Spanish Congress of Deputies the provision of the Patriot system to Ukraine.
In addition, we previously reported that Spain transferred Patriot missiles and Leopard tanks to Ukraine.
