“These are very difficult months. The real number of people who have been or are infected with COVID-19 in Spain already exceeds three million compatriots, ”said the head of government. Sanchez urged Spaniards in this alarming situation to minimize travel and contact in order to avoid a new home regime.
On October 21, Spain became the first country in the European Union to cross the threshold of one million people infected with the coronavirus. Currently, 1,026,281 infected have been officially identified in the country. For all the time, almost 35 thousand people have died, and more than 150 thousand have recovered.
As of October 23, there are more than 42 million people infected with coronavirus in the world, of which more than 1.13 million have died, and another 28.4 million have recovered. Most of the infected are registered in the USA, India, Brazil, Russia and Argentina.
