The Chief of the General Staff of the Spanish Armed Forces, General Miguel ngel Villarroya, has decided to resign after a scandal over the coronavirus vaccination.
According to El Mundo, the whole point is that the Italian general took advantage of his official position in order to supply himself and his subordinates with a coronavirus vaccine out of order.
However, he himself, in a letter to the Minister of Defense, stated that he did not violate the established rules, but nevertheless asked for his resignation.
Recall that in Spain they can put on a special account those who refused to be vaccinated against the coronavirus vaccine. Moreover, the vaccination itself in the country is voluntary.
As the website kp.ru wrote, over the entire period of the pandemic, specialists have identified more than 98 million cases of covid-19 infection in the world, 54.4 million patients have been cured, and 2.1 million citizens have died.
