Spanish Prosecutor General's Office launched national investigations into crimes related to Russian aggression.
This was announced by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova.
She stressed that the government had already signed a Memorandum on cooperation on crimes committed during Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
“We discussed further cooperation on the justice front with Pilar Llop Cuenca. The Spanish Prosecutor General's Office launched national investigations into crimes related to Russian aggression. We also have colleagues Memorandum on cooperation on crimes committed during Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine,” Venediktova said.
She noted that the Russian occupiers who committed crimes in Ukraine should be held accountable, and their fortune should be spent on restoration and compensation for the victims.
“With the Minister of Justice, we settled on cooperation with our Task Force to search, arrest and confiscate the assets of Russian war criminals in Spain. We must work synergistically to ensure that the perpetrators who committed international crimes in Ukraine are brought to justice, and their fortune goes to restore and compensate the victims. Russia must pay for everything!” Venediktova added.
