SpaceX plans to send space tourists into orbit before the end of the year as part of the commercial Inspiration4 mission. This is stated in a message on the organization's website.
The mission will be sponsored by Jared Isaacman, founder of Shift4 Payments. He will pay for three other astronauts aboard the Dragon spacecraft. Before the flight, the crew will undergo the necessary training, including in microgravity and zero gravity conditions.
The launch of the mission is planned from the spaceport at Cape Canaveral in Florida. The flight will be carried out using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. Other details have not yet been announced.
You can apply for selection on a special mission website, leaving a minimum contribution of ten dollars, which goes to help children with cancer. The names of the space tourists will be announced within a month.
In November last year, it was reported that the first space tourists who will travel to the International Space Station (ISS) on the Crew Dragon spacecraft of entrepreneur Elon Musk's SpaceX have signed a contract. The international crew will consist of three private astronauts and the commander, NASA Explorer Astronaut Michael Lopez-Alegria. The duration of such a tour will be 10 days: two days of flight and eight days of rest at the station.
