Approximately 31 minutes later, the spacecraft entered orbit.
Meanwhile, the first reusable stage of the Falcon 9 rocket, which was used for the third time, 8 minutes 40 seconds after the launch, made a controlled vertical landing on the automatic sea platform Just Read The Instructions, which was in the Atlantic.
The mission of SiriusXM's SXM-8 satellite, which weighs up to seven tons, is to provide radio broadcasting in North America in the S-band (at decimeter and centimeter waves).
In December last year, a SpaceX rocket launched a similar satellite, SXM-7, into orbit, but a month later it failed.
