Suddenly, the network has information about the fresh development of SpaceX. Elon Musk's company, as it turned out, is working on the second generation of satellites for the Starlink space Internet system.
The American company has filed the relevant documents with the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), according to Advanced Television. A distinctive feature of the second generation of satellites should be their closer placement relative to each other.
In this case, the description of the application provides two scenarios for the implementation of a fresh project. According to the first, 29,988 satellites will be deployed in near-earth orbit, deployed at nine different heights – from 340 to 614 kilometers.
The second option provides for the use of 29,996 satellites at 12 different heights and 12 orbital inclinations.
In the first case, satellites will be launched using the Starship spacecraft, and in the second, with the participation of Falcon 9.
Interestingly, none of the scenarios involves gaining access to new frequencies.
